The Master of Science in Quantitative Finance is a unique two-year degree program developed as a collaboration between the Departments of Mathematics and Finance at Texas A&M University. Features and benefits of the program include:

• The emphasis is on career preparation. The MSQF program was created in response to a call from employers in the financial services industry for prospective employees with strong quantitative skills. The program has been designed to provide students with precisely these desired skills, and so graduates will be in high demand on the job market.
• The program is designed especially for students with a strong quantitative background. The program is designed for students with strong quantitative backgrounds, who would like to leverage their knowledge by applying it to the field of finance. Students completing the program will have expertise in high-demand sectors of the labor market such as hedge funds, quantitative trading, and portfolio management.
• Multidisciplinary coursework. Students in the program spend their first year taking courses primarily in the Department of Mathematics, and their second year taking courses primarily in the Department of Finance. This allows students to develop precisely the quantitative skills they will need in order to succeed in their quantitative finance classes.
