CAREER SERVICES

Career services for the MSQF program are handled by the Department of Finance. As with the Master of Science in Finance program (housed in the Department of Finance), the MSQF program has a dedicated member from the Mays Career Management Center (CMC) who assists students by:

• Gaining industry involvement: Our career services adviser invites top employers in the finance industry to participate in a range of MSF activities, including mock interviews and job recruitment events.
• Focusing on a career management plan: Students work with the CMC staff to prepare an individual career management plan that combines individualized career goals with personal knowledge, skills and experience. Our career adviser also works closely with students as they seek employment in the finance industry.
• Training on career management skills: The CMC staff offer a number of services that help graduate students develop career management skills. These services include assistance with resumes, online career resources, development of networking strategies and skills, mock interviews, negotiation coaching and career management workshops.
